• Inception: Established in the late 1950s by hospital founder Rev. Dr. C.F. Moss.

• Historical Milestone: Introduced the first X-ray machine to the region—an unprecedented facility in rural India at the time and the only medical imaging unit within a 200+ km radius.

• Mission: Providing comprehensive, modern diagnostic imaging while keeping investigations affordable for rural and economically challenged communities.

Imaging Modalities & Clinical Capabilities

1. Radiography (X-Ray Services)

• Plain Radiography: Routine diagnostic skeletal, thoracic, and abdominal X-rays.

• Special & Contrast Studies: Barium and iodinated contrast examinations (e.g., Barium swallow/meal/enema, IVU, fistulograms).

• Orthopantomography (OPG): Panoramic dental and maxillofacial imaging.

• Portable X-Ray Unit: Bedside radiography for critically ill patients in the ICU, NICU, and general wards.

• Intraoperative C-Arm Fluoroscopy: Real-time surgical imaging inside the Operation Theatres (guiding orthopaedic, urological, and trauma surgeries).

• Computed Radiography (CR) System: Digital image acquisition for enhanced detail and lower repeat exposure rates.

2. Ultrasonography (USG) & Doppler

• High-Resolution & Transvaginal Probes (TVS): Detailed pelvic, obstetric, abdominal, and small-parts (thyroid, breast, scrotum) sonography.

• Colour Doppler Studies: Vascular evaluations for arterial and venous flow, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and peripheral vascular diseases.

• Echocardiography (Echo): Non-invasive cardiac structural and functional assessments.

3. Computed Tomography (CT Scan)

• GE Dual-Slice Whole Body CT Scanner: Rapid cross-sectional body imaging.

• Advanced Features: Dedicated automated pressure injector for optimized multiphase contrast scans and laser alignment systems.

4. Interventional Radiology

• Image-Guided Procedures: USG- and CT-guided diagnostic biopsies, fine-needle aspirations (FNAC), fluid drainages, and pigtail catheter insertions.

5. Digital Integration & Telemedicine

• Teleradiology: Remote expert reporting and second opinions for rapid diagnostic turnaround.

• Hospital Information System (HIS) / PACS Link: Direct digital integration enabling clinicians across all hospital wards and OPDs to review imaging instantly

6. Advanced Digital Radiography (DR) System

• Instant Image Acquisition: High-efficiency Flat Panel Detectors capture and process X-ray images within seconds, significantly reducing patient wait times.

• Direct PACS & Hospital-Wide Integration: Images are automatically and instantly transferred to our PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System), making diagnostic scans immediately accessible across:

  • Outpatient Departments (OPD): Enables consulting physicians to review scans during the same visit.

  • Inpatient Wards & ICUs: Facilitates prompt clinical decisions and bedside evaluations without waiting for physical films.

• Low Radiation & High Precision: Advanced detector sensitivity ensures superior diagnostic clarity with reduced patient radiation exposure.
