-: Department of Urology :-

INTRODUCTION

Urology services were provided by the general surgery department since the early 1970s. This included open surgery for stone disease in the kidney, ureter and bladder and endoscopic resection of the prostate (TURP). However, these treatment options have undergone a sea change; for example, open surgery is nearly obsolete for treatment of stone disease and is now replaced with endoscopic procedures which are now available at Padhar hospital.
