A long felt need of the hospital was to have a fully functional casualty under one roof.

This dream was finally realized when we formally inaugurated the “Rudiger Braun accident and emergency unit” in 0ctober 2008. The A&E was made possible through the generous contribution of the German philanthropist, Mr. Rudiger Braun and the unstinting support of the Friends of Padhar, Germany.

The A & E is a fully equipped complex with the latest monitors, centralized oxygen and suction, ventilators, operating room for minor procedures

and 10 stations for emergency care, thereby making it possible for us to handle any emergency, including paediatric emergencies, heart attacks, mass casualties etc.

Manned by competent doctors and nurses under the direct supervision of a trauma surgeon, the facility is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is further complimented by a 24-hour ambulance service.

Since its inception, the A&E has proved to be a lifesaving, vital part of the hospital and a boon to the community, as it is the only well-equipped trauma centre on the treacherous National Highway 69 between Nagpur and Bhopal.
